STORM
ENTERTAINMENT, INC. IS AN INDEPENDENT FILM FINANCE,
PRODUCTION AND WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTION COMPANY ESTABLISHED IN 1995 BY
ITS PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, H. MICHAEL HEUSER.
H.
Michael Heuser is also a founding Partner and
Principal of August Entertainment. Prior to co-founding August, Mr.
Heuser
formed part of the Senior Management team at Interaccess Film
Distribution (a
division of Vestron), Producer Sales Organization (PSO), the Motion
Picture
Association of America (MPAA) and United International Pictures (UIP).
Mr. Heuser received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Colgate University,
majoring in Economics and International Relations. He is fluent in
Spanish,
French and Italian.
In
late 1995, Mr. Heuser founded Storm Entertainment, a motion picture
finance,
production and distribution company. In 10 years, H. Michael Heuser has
been
able to provide worldwide sales and pre-sales, along with institutional
equity,
private equity and gap financing, thereby successfully arranging for
the full
financing of 32 films, including the critically acclaimed HURLYBURLY
(starring
Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Meg Ryan, Robin Wright-Penn, Chazz Palminteri
and Anna
Paquin), as well as the European production THE CRIMINAL.
Mr.
Heuser is currently working with Ms. Emma Thompson to bring to the
screen
JOHNNY HIT AND RUN PAULINE, in which both Ms. Thompson and Mr. Heuser
will
serve as Executive Producers. In addition, Mr. Heuser, together with
the
Producer Mr. Michael Riley, is in post-production on OUTLANDERS
(starring Jakub
Tolak, Przemek Sadowski, Alex Raben, Shaun Dingwall, Joe Tucker). Some
of Mr.
Heuser’s other credits include THE HILLZ (starring Paris Hilton), KART
RACER,
LOVE THE HARD WAY (starring Academy Award winner, Adrien Brody), MODERN
VAMPIRES (aka. Revenant), THERE’S NO FISH FOOD IN HEAVEN, BIG CITY
BLUES, NEVADA,
HEAVEN OR VEGAS
and LOVELIFE, among many others.
In
addition to the above accomplishments, Mr. Heuser has been involved in
the
financing/distribution of more than ninety films throughout his career,
including the following highly commercial films: TRUE ROMANCE, COTTON
CLUB,
LAWNMOWER MAN I and II, DIRTY DANCING, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS, PRINCESS
BRIDE,
ROMERO, SLEEP WITH ME and 9 ½ WEEKS.
Mr.
Heuser’s latest completed projects are the highly anticipated remake of
the
classic title HEIDI, produced with U.K. producers Christopher Figg and
Martyn
Auty and to be released by Warner Bros. in the USA. Other recent
projects
include GREYFRIARS BOBBY (starring Greg Wise and Christopher Lee) and
THESE
FOOLISH THINGS (starring Angelica Huston, Lauren Bacall and Terence
Stamp). PRISONERS
OF THE SUN and Abel Ferrara’s (2005 Venice Grand Jury Prize Winner) GO
GO TALE
are now in pre-production. Also, in active pre-production is KU*, an
action
packed epic to be filmed on location in 4 countries.
