THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Genre: Comedy
|
Synopsis:
When Pete and
Lisa move into their lovely new home they have no idea that they are
now living next door to the neighbor from hell. What starts out as an
apparent over friendliness escalates into a full-scale war.
Hank the neighbor has three sons
who act like terrorists, a huge dog that would give a bad name to
wolves, and a nubile Russian mail order bride, Natasha. He himself has
a warped sense of reality and a paranoid suspicion about his wife’s
extramarital activities, a paranoia that is, in fact, totally
justified. Natasha will come on to anything that breathes. Enter Rory,
the hunk who is Pete and Lisa’s other neighbor. More than anything,
Pete and Lisa want to make love in their new home, but every time they
try they’re interrupted. Hank is all over them, sometimes friendly to
the point of boorishness, but more and more frequently, aggressive, to
the point of homicidal. He offers them hot tub parties and a not so
gentle game of touch football. But when they put up a fence to keep him
and his brood out of their house he gets unpleasant. When he is forced
to burn down the valuable marijuana plants he grows in his greenhouse
he becomes downright vindictive. His brother, a police detective isn’t
too happy about the $250,000 loss either. It all comes to a head one
night after Pete and Rory rescue a kidnapped and doped-up Lisa along
with Natasha, and a vengeful Hank sets about destroying their house
with a backhoe, an AK 47 and sundry other weapons, while brother Mike
plans to shoot Pete dead. There goes the neighborhood!
